Apex Revise
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
The short version: Apex Revise collects nothing. Your profile and progress stay on your device, there are no accounts, adverts or analytics, and purchases are handled entirely by Apple or Google.
Overview
This privacy policy explains how Apex Revise ("the app"), a GCSE revision app published by Apex Knowledge, handles your information when you use it. "We" and "us" in this policy mean Apex Knowledge.
What We Collect
Nothing.
Apex Revise has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting, and it does not use any third-party tracking or data-collection tools. We have no servers that could receive information from the app.
What Stays on Your Device
To work, the app stores the following on your device only:
- Your profile: the nickname you choose, your tier, science route, exam board, set texts and display settings.
- Your revision progress, quiz results, learnt flashcards, and any flashcards or notes you write yourself.
- Whether you have bought the full course, so that it stays unlocked offline.
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes it. Your device's own backup system (iCloud or Google's device backup) may include the app's data in your personal backup, under your platform account and your platform's privacy policy. We never see it.
Purchases
Apex Revise is free to download. Paper 1 of every subject is free. One optional, one-off purchase, the full course, unlocks Paper 2 and Acts 4 and 5 of each Shakespeare play. It is bought once and owned for good; there is no subscription.
Payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms and privacy policies. We never receive your name, email address or payment details. The app only learns from Apple or Google whether the purchase has been made, so that it can unlock the course. Restore a previous purchase asks Apple or Google what your account already owns.
What Leaves the App
A few actions open other apps on your device, only when you choose them:
- Feedback opens your own email app with our address filled in. If you send the email, we receive it and its contents and use them only to reply to you.
- Website links open your browser.
In each case the other app's own privacy policy applies from that point.
Children
Apex Revise is designed for students revising for their GCSEs, typically aged 14 to 16. It does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Your Rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you email us, you can ask us to delete that correspondence at any time.
Changes to This Policy
If a future version of Apex Revise changes any of the above, this policy will be updated before that version is released and the "last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.
